Event Details

Start Time

• Race starts at 8:00 a.m.
• Race day registration opens at 7:00 a.m.
• Race day packet pick-up opens at 7:15 a.m.

Location

The Drumstick Dash 10K is run around Lake Harriet in south Minneapolis. Start/finish, registration, and packet pick-up all take place near Lake Harriet Bandshell, 4135 West Lake Harriet Parkway, Minneapolis, MN 55419.

Course Description

Course is USATF certified and consists of two loops around Lake Harriet on the roads. Course is moderately hilly on north and south ends, flat on east and west sides.

Packet Pickup

Participants may pick up their race packets, including bib, chip, and shirt:

• Wednesday, Nov. 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Marathon Sports, 2312 W. 50th St., Minneapolis.
• Race day, Nov. 24 from 7:15 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Lake Harriet Bandshell.

Participants may have someone else pick up their packet for them. All the person needs is your name. They will sign for you packet when they pick it up. Please make sure and let them know what size shirt you would like.

Timing

The Drumstick Dash 10K features chip timing by MTEC/ChampionChip Minnesota. Runners are individually timed and receive both gun and chip (net) time results. New this year, we are going to be providing 5K splits as well.

Awards

Overall male and female winners receive a $50 cash award.

Age group awards for first, second, and third place in 10 yr age groups:

• First place: $25 Marathon Sports Gift Certificate
• Second place: Complimentary entry to any Running Ventures event (Independence Races, Rice Street Mile, Drumstick Dash)
• Third place: Complimentary entry to 2012 Drumstick Dash 10K
